The club is affiliated to the Athletics Association of Ireland and is bound by its rules, constitution and bye laws.
The club will be run by a committee comprising of a chairman, vice chairman, secretary, treasurer, registrar, childrens officer and other committee members. The committee will meet at least four times a year. Only registered members of the club can be elected members of committee. The committee can only meet if three officers and two other members of the committee are present.
Membership of the club is at the discretion of the committee. Membership of the club must be renewed each year.
The club will hold an annual general meeting (AGM) once a year where officers and committee members will be elected. Four weeks’ notice must be given to the club membership about the AGM and at least five registered members of the club must be present at the AGM.
An extraordinary general meeting may be called by the committee. Three weeks’ notice must be given to the club membership about the EGM and at least 5 registered members of the club must be present at the EGM.
The club will implement the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children in Sport and adhere to any guideline issued by the Irish Sports Council or the Athletics Associated of Ireland.
